How We Are Different

Life Builders Work Camp is different from other work camp ministries in various ways, such as:

Evangelical
Life Builders Youth Workcamp is evangelically based. Adherance to the truth of scripture, applying it to one's life and sharing God with people is an underlying facet of each week. To read our statement of beliefs please click here.
Work with your group

Groups are not split up intentionally during a week of Life Builders Youth Workcamp Ministry. We keep your group together for various reasons:
1 - As the leader, you know your group best
2 - You, as the leader, know the skill level each person contains
3 - If there is a certain spiritual or group emphasis to be made or worked on during the week, this allows a group leader to do so
4 - Allows for you, the group leader, to develop leadership skills in your group in the many aspects of the week
5 - Most importantly ~ building relationships amongst your group as you build relationships with others, offering a relationally based week of ministry

Develop Leadership Skills
It is the desire of Christian Endeavor's Life Builder Youth Workcamp Ministry to develop leadership skills within teens and young adults. During the week a leader can direct and develop leadership skills in such ways as leading groups during evening devotional times, overseeing the loading and unloading of coolers, making certain people remain hydrated, or even checking to see if people need sun screen lotion. A list of ways a group leader can do so is provided once you register.
Variety of Work
All types of work is assigned during a week of Life Builders, depending on the ability of those attending with a group. Each person is to fill out a Skills Inventory Sheet which provides the work coordinator with information on people's knowledge and abilities. Jobs are then assigned according to that information. This allows for teens to learn the use of a variety of equipment, plus increase their knowledge about construction and home repair.
Limited Number Attending per week
We strive to have a limited number of people attending each weekof Life Builders Youth Workcamp Ministry to give a more personal and relational feel to the week of ministry. A maximum of 150 to 200 people per week is planned. Because of keeping each week's number of people limited, groups are encouraged to reserve their week as early as possible.
