1. Why do an Internship with Christian Endeavor – Mid Atlantic?
You should consider being an intern for a variety of reasons, such as:
- Obtain ministry experience with a Christian non-profit organization
- Grow deeper in your relationship with Christ
- Be involved in changing people’s lives
- Gain real world experience

2. What are the eligibility requirements?
Internships are open to young adults who have graduated high school to age 22. You must have made a commitment to seriously follow Jesus Christ and want to develop leadership skills. Christian Endeavor – Mid Atlantic desires Interns who have notable Christian character and activeness within their local church. |

3. What is the application process?
All prospective Interns must fill out, submit the Internship Application, and have your three references sent to the office as soon as possible. We will schedule interviews with you some time after that.
Following your interview, you will be notified whether you are accepted or not. If you have been selected, you will be required to fill out additional forms are, such as: Life Builders registration, Life Builders Medical Liability, child protection clearances, financial paperwork, as well as other post-interview paperwork. At this time we will begin to work with you to arrange financial support from people you know. |

4. How long does the Internship last?
A week of training for all Interns prior to Life Builders Work Camps will be June 7 to 12, 2010. This will be a time to get to bond with the other interns, learn various aspects of the job, and begin the spiritual and leadership development training that will occur during the summer.
The start date at an actual Life Builders Work Camp is Wednesday, June 16, 2010. This marks the beginning of your travels to work sites, as you help to begin setup the first site. After a few days of debriefing, your last day will be Tuesday, August 3, 2010. |

5. What are the purposes and objectives of this Internship?
To develop and unleash the leadership potential in young adults who have graduated from high school to the age of 22.
- To assist you, the Intern, in the process of discerning God’s call to service and leadership.
- To accomplish the mission of Christian Endeavor-Mid Atlantic: to lead youth and young adults to Christ and to equip them for Christian Service and Leadership.

6. Do I get paid?
Yes you do get paid. Christian Endeavor – Mid Atlantic will pay you a total of $500 for the summer. In addition your food, housing and registration costs will be covered for the weeks of work camp, approximately worth $2,000.
You may also raise additional support from your church, friends and relatives. We will assist you in raising those funds. |

7. What is Christian Endeavor – Mid Atlantic’s purpose for offering this Internship?
Many people in their post high school years are searching their hearts and looking to God to determine how and where they can best serve Him. They may have little understanding of how God has gifted them for service and leadership. This Internship is instrumental in helping people find their gifts and use them to impact their world for Christ.
Our staff and board have an unyielding commitment to prepare teens and young adults to take their rightful position as Christian leaders in their churches, schools, workplaces, families, community and wherever else the Lord calls them to be His witnesses. This ultimately will lead one to put their Faith into Action- just as you, the Intern, open yourself up to accountability, try new things, and have a desire to gain more knowledge about your own spirituality, thus giving you the experience of a lifetime as an Intern. |

8. Who do I directly answer to?
All interns will be under the support of Rev. Sam Yeager, Ministries Director for Christian Endeavor-Mid Atlantic. |

10. What duties am I responsible for completing?
Your responsibilities as an intern will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Depending on your hired role will determine your exact duties. Below are some duties per role:
- {2} Administration – in this role two people oversee the administration of the housing facility, supporting aspects of the ministry and other duties as assigned by the Intern Coordinator
- {2} Video/Pictures – in this role two people will go from site to site to take pictures (stills and video) to be used in the video shown during the gathering time (previous experience not necessary but is desired)
- {1} Work Camp Coordinator Support – in this role a person travels with the Work Camp Coordinator to assist in the oversight of the work assignments
- {1} Worship Song Leader – in this role a person will coordinate and lead the worship songs sung during the gathering times, with a guitar or piano/keyboard (there will be auditions for this role)
- Each intern will agree and sign a list of minimum responsibilities to be carried out. These are to be agreed upon between the Christian Endeavor staff and the interns.
- Develop a Spiritual Growth plan in conjunction with Christian Endeavor – Mid Atlantic staff.
- Keep a journal of Intern experiences and how the Lord has worked in and through you during the summer
- Take part in an exit interview.
- Attend all of the dates and weeks as mentioned above.
- Jobs to be performed may include, but not limited the following:
- Hospitality: welcoming groups, creating an open and safe environment, for relationship-building.
- Event Development: setup & tear down, team-building.
- Office Support: data entry, room assignments, book keeping, web updates.
- Organizing: keeping track and arranging the tool trailers.
- Group/Team Liaison: be a representative of Christian Endeavor – Mid Atlantic among groups and teams.
- Video & Photography: taking video and photos to be posted on the web & blog.
- MC: for the programs and gatherings.
- Technology: creating various multimedia presentations on the computer.

11. What may be some causes of dismissal?
You may be dismissed for any of the following:
- Transporting teenagers without permission
- Violation of the teen commandments
- Not fulfilling responsibilities as agreed upon
- Insubordination
If you are dismissed, it will be up to you to arrange transportation home and you will be responsible for all of the costs to return home. |

12. Can I receive college credits for the Internship?
Yes you can. Life Builders Work Camp Ministry Internships is an approved organization in which college credit can be received through Pilgrimage Educational Resources (pilgrimageeducational.com/).
